Netflix Announces Official Documentary on Rock Band Alter Bridge

In a move that has thrilled rock music fans around the world, Netflix has officially announced the upcoming release of a documentary centered on the acclaimed American rock band Alter Bridge. The project, currently in post-production, promises to take a deep dive into the band’s two-decade journey through the highs and lows of the modern rock scene.

Formed in 2004 by former Creed members Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips, alongside vocalist Myles Kennedy, Alter Bridge has built a loyal global fan base with their blend of hard rock, melodic hooks, and lyrical introspection. Known for albums such as Blackbird, AB III, and Fortress, the band has consistently garnered critical and commercial success while maintaining artistic integrity.

Netflix’s announcement, made via a press release and its official social media platforms, described the documentary as a “raw and emotional” portrait of a band that defied expectations. Tentatively titled Alter Bridge: Walk the Sky, the film will feature never-before-seen backstage footage, interviews with band members, producers, and collaborators, as well as glimpses into the creative process behind some of their most iconic songs.

Executive produced by longtime music documentarian Daniel Catullo, who previously worked with bands like Rush and Dream Theater, the project aims to highlight not just the music but the bond between the four bandmates. Catullo has followed the band on tour and in studio over the years, capturing pivotal moments that fans have long wanted to see.

“Alter Bridge’s story is one of perseverance, brotherhood, and passion,” Catullo said in the announcement. “This documentary will allow fans to see the band in a completely new light—not just as musicians, but as human beings with an inspiring story.”

While no exact release date has been provided, Netflix confirmed that the documentary will premiere globally later in 2025.
