Kevin Durant Dismisses Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show: “It Meant Nothing to Me”

NBA star Kevin Durant recently made headlines after expressing indifference toward Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX halftime performance. When asked about the show, Durant bluntly stated, “It meant nothing to me.” The Phoenix Suns forward further remarked that the entire Super Bowl was “boring.”

Lamar’s halftime performance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans was historic, marking the first time a solo hip-hop artist headlined the event. His setlist featured hits like HUMBLE., DNA., Not Like Us, and Squabble Up, with surprise appearances from SZA and narration by Samuel L. Jackson.

Despite drawing record-breaking viewership—an estimated 133.5 million people tuned in—Durant remained unimpressed. While many fans praised the performance for its energy and cultural significance, the two-time NBA champion made it clear that it didn’t resonate with him.
