Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, Guns N’ Roses became one of the defining acts of hard rock, earning a place in music history with their debut album Appetite for Destruction and hits like “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Welcome to the Jungle.” However, despite the group’s fame, the origin of their name has long remained obscure to many fans — until now.
