Alexis Ohanian Grateful to $800M Tiger Woods for Welcoming Him Into TGL Legacy

Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and husband of tennis icon Serena Williams, recently expressed his gratitude to golf legend Tiger Woods for allowing him to be part of TGL, the highly anticipated tech-driven golf league.

Woods, whose estimated net worth is around $800 million, co-founded TGL with Rory McIlroy, bringing together elite golfers for a high-tech, team-based competition. Ohanian, an avid sports investor, joined the league as a co-owner of Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC), making history as the first investor in TGL.

Taking to social media, Ohanian publicly thanked Woods, recognizing the 15-time major champion’s vision and leadership in shaping the future of golf. He acknowledged the opportunity to contribute to what he called a “legacy-defining” project and expressed excitement about the league’s potential.

“Grateful to @TigerWoods for letting me be a part of this incredible legacy with TGL,” Ohanian wrote. “What he’s building is special, and I’m honored to be along for the ride.”

TGL, backed by the PGA Tour, aims to revolutionize golf by blending virtual gameplay with real-life competition in a custom-built arena. With Woods, McIlroy, and other top stars committed, the league is set to debut in early 2025.

For Ohanian, this venture adds to his growing influence in sports ownership, following his investments in women’s soccer and tennis. With Tiger Woods leading the charge, TGL is poised to redefine how golf is played and experienced—and Ohanian is more than ready to be part of history.
