QB prospect Shedeur Sanders reveals top-30 visits scheduled with Browns, Giants

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has announced that he will participate in top-30 visits with the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants, both holding the second and third overall picks, respectively, in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

Shedeur Sanders’ Rise

Sanders, son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, has garnered significant attention for his exceptional performance at Colorado. His athleticism, football IQ, and leadership qualities have positioned him as one of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s draft class.

Cleveland Browns’ Quarterback Situation

The Browns are facing uncertainty at the quarterback position. Deshaun Watson’s recent Achilles surgery is expected to sideline him for most, if not all, of the upcoming season. Backup quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Bailey Zappe are entering free agency, leaving the team with limited options under center. This situation has intensified the Browns’ interest in securing a top quarterback prospect like Sanders.

New York Giants’ Draft Strategy

The Giants, holding the third overall pick, are also in the market for a franchise quarterback. Recent mock drafts suggest that the Giants are considering trading up to secure the top pick, with Miami’s Cam Ward being a potential target. However, their scheduled visit with Sanders indicates a thorough evaluation process of all top quarterback prospects.

Draft Implications

Both teams’ interest in Sanders underscores the high demand for quarterback talent in this year’s draft. The outcomes of these visits could significantly influence the draft order and the future quarterback landscape of the NFL.
